Call for Abstracts (Talks / Posters)

Abstract submission open for 2022 Materials Education Symposia

Delegates at the Poster Session at CalPoly in 2012Talks and poster sessions allow educators to share ideas and resources for materials-related teaching. Talks and posters can be on any topic related to the teaching of materials. There is no restriction based on particular approaches or the use of any particular resources.

Talks are typically 25 minutes long, including Q&A. There is no requirement to submit an accompanying paper, although we do request that presentation slides can be shared with attendees after the meeting.

Poster presenters will each be allocated one minute in the poster teasersession during the main Symposia. This popular feature provides an opportunity to introduce yourself, your poster, and your teaching interests to all participants before the poster session begins.

Speakers and poster presenters will be invited to join the presenters' dinner.

North American Materials Education Symposium is a yearly meeting event for presenting and discussing educational experiences, tools, and environments for teaching materials science, materials engineering, and materials content in related fields. The meeting is off-record and supportive of discussions on best practices and case studies using innovative learning strategies. We are seeking presentations and posters describing educational technology research, new practices, advanced techniques, systems, tools, and pedagogy.
