Materials Science and Engineering in Ansys Granta EduPack
Many think of Ansys Granta EduPack as a pure materials selection and eco design tool, but it is so much more than that! In this workshop, Dr. Kaitlin Tyler and Prof. Claes Fredriksson will share how core materials science topics, such as property-processing relationships, can be taught using Granta EduPack. Details on the Materials Science & Engineering Database, as well as the new Additive Manufacturing module, and how they can be used alongside textbooks such as Materials Science and Engineering: An Introduction, by William Callister, will be covered.
Sustainability in Structural Simulation: Engaging Students with Ansys
Materials selection, structural analysis, topology optimization and additive manufacturing in design are not easy to connect in teaching, especially when aiming to address conflicting objectives. In this workshop, Dr Janos Plocher and Dr Navid Manai will introduce engaging Ansys tools which can help engineering educators by reducing traditional learning barriers of simulation and design tools. Participants will go through live demonstrations and hands-on exercises to appreciate integration of theoretical teaching with the visualization of physical phenomena in structural mechanics applications.
