11th North American Materials Education Symposium

August 7 - 9, 2022

North American Materials Education Symposium is a yearly meeting event for presenting and discussing educational experiences, tools, and environments for teaching materials science, materials engineering, and materials content in related fields. The meeting is off-record and supportive of discussions on best practices and case studies using innovative learning strategies. We are seeking presentations and posters describing educational technology research, new practices, advanced techniques, systems, tools, and pedagogy.

The North American Materials Education Symposium will consider presentations on all aspects of materials science education, with planned focus sessions on the following topics:

• What to include in the broad program "core" of Material Science/Engineering
• Teaching Data Literacy in Material Science
• Teaching Computational Literacy in Material Science
• Roundtable discussion surrounding "What to keep after the pandemic"
